About AetherEdge
Based in Scotland and founded by a HEMA practitioner active since 2017, AetherEdge was born out of a practical challenge faced by many clubs: the high cost and limited accessibility of equipment, particularly when exploring beyond the longsword into other weapon systems.
AetherEdge bridges that gap by combining expertise in 3D printing and digital modelling to create affordable, accessible gear. Our mission is to lower the barrier of entry for those interested in diversifying their HEMA practice.
We currently offer both physical products and downloadable digital files for:
Smallsword
Rapier
Arm Guards / Vambraces
Each design undergoes many iterations, extensive testing and careful material selection. While our products are not intended to last forever—typically through a few courses with your club and into sparring beyond that —they provide an excellent opportunity to explore new systems before committing to higher-cost, traditional equipment.
AetherEdge was designed to make it easier to equip and engage.
